Cubist
The first Cubist skin created is the skin3 skin used on this site.  I will not be releasing the black/grey style for resale, but you can look around at how the skin works with various content and page formats.  It's been both a pleasure and a breeze putting pages together with this skin.

Cubist themes are "mono-chromatic" in nature. I've done this on purpose in order to present an integrated look and to have multi-color images jump-out from the page. I've also stayed away from pure or fully saturated colors - once again, the idea is to have the content stand out - not the skin.  Cubist themes will be individually available in numerous colors.  These themes can work together to create larger portals/intranets, where various site areas can be identified by a particular color scheme.

  • Skins/containers are available as fixed or variable width.
  • Images are very efficient GIF's - small payload - speedy response.
  • Containers implement most DNN 3.0 Action Buttons.
  • Very integrated "look & feel" throughout.
  • 10 Skins and 6 containers.  Flexible layouts.
  • Logo area available as standard or optional Flash. (Custom)
  • Beautifully rendered 3-D graphics.

GoodCode.jpg

Excellent Documentation:
Classes in the cascading style sheet has been fully commented.  HTML or ascx files are also fully commented.  Everythng required to make basic changes is accesible from the skin - whehter you want to better inegrate your skin or "reverse-engineer" it!

DNN3.jpg

DNN3 Optimized:
Cubist skins only work with DNN 3.0.11 and late, and take full advantage of the new skinning features. You may make a special request for a DNN 2.0.12 version (no-charge), but some features will not be available.  (This generally affects all action buttons.  Admin buttons cannot be integrated the same way.)

AdminSkin.jpg  Admin Skins/Containers:
Properly configured Admin skins and containers are included with each Cubist release. This provides a more efficient and elegant working environment for content creators, editors and administrators.  They can also be used on normal site pages for specific content requirements.

Multi-Colors.jpg  Multi-Color Availability:
Mutliple color skin and container combinations allow flexibility with larger site structures or to integrate exisisting identity materials such as logos and marketing materials.  Multiple Cubist themes can be used together to create larger portal systems that are well co-ordinated, yet unique for each section.

CommandButtons.jpg

Command Button Links:
X:Skins were one of the first DNN 2 skins that provided matching Command Button links and I continue that tradition with Cubist.  These classes are even more accessible in DNN 3 and they give your forms and other module buttons a more intuitive and integrated feel.

Top.jpg

Top Button:
Tired of manually scrolling to the top of the page constantly?  Cubist  incorporates a "jump to the top of the page" mechanism, that does not use named anchors.  (Named anchors will not work in DNN.)  Each container and skin automatically has a "Top" link to make navigation through your long pages a snap!
