I tend to create skins in themed "groups" - that is, a number of individual skin packages sold seperately, but based on a similar skinning architecture.  I started doing this with X:Skins, and I found that this approach makes a lot of sense from numerous standpoints: 

• It gives you choices for color schemes. 
• It lets you create larger site structures that are cosmetically matching.
• It allows future updates for a fresh look, but consistant interface.
